The NEBULA N2 Enterprise NAS/SAN solution is bundled in a server rack that fits neatly into a server room. An Intel based unit houses the core storage, with SATA or SAS discs configured in any number of chosen hardware RAID arrays to allow for parity, redundancy and failure protection. Pooling multiple Gigabit network interface cards allows for fast access to the storage, and prevention of single point of failure.
To allow for expansion, the storage capacity can be increased by simply adding another storage unit to the equation. Once plugged in, the filer offers an efficient way of configuring and managing your storage, with the choice of either adding soft RAID to the existing hardware RAID configuration, or just adding a 'bunch of discs' together.
The Gigabit switches ensure fast networking, allowing for super-quick disc access. When loss of power occurs, 1500VA units are in place to carry the solution, or to allow the rack to shut down normally if the power-out persists. These units are driven by smart, real-time software, built for this job specifically.
